Before the golf course was renovated it was a great play-haven for the neighborhood kids. Even the "Carrollwoodians" came to play football, throw frisbies, and ride dirt bikes. When Frank Popovics was in junior high and high school in the late 60's and early 70's he had a blast in his what seemed like his own personal playground.


Frank with an 8 1/2 lb. bass caught at the Cliff Circle pond around 1968 or 1969. The picture was taken at his parents' house on the 11th fairway.	Frank on his first dirt bike inside the water hole at the #8 green in 1971. The house in the background was at Oregon and Oregon Circle. The green is behind the dog fennel weeds on the right.
