On September 19th at 3:00 pm, the Sanctuary Choir of St. Clement’s Episcopal Church located in the Forest Hills area will feature the work of Alfred V. Fedak “The Gift of Music.” in concert.  Following the concert will be an Afternoon Tea hosted by the Episcopal Church Women.  The suggested donation of $10 will help support the costs of a commissioned work to be performed early December in celebration of Advent.

For this concert, the featured composition is in 3 sections: At the Still Point of the Universe, Music Never Dies and Proverbs.  The composer builds on the theme “dances with joy” to the pinnacle of the proverbial saying, “If you can talk, you can sing, if you can walk, you can dance.”  The composition begins with an ethereal mood, draws your soul to meditate and concludes with a gospel style.  The composer captures the spirit of music and delivers that message through melodies, harmonic repetitive patterns and a rhythmic dance.  There are five other compositions whose themes are centered on praise and song.

Directions to the church can be found on our website www.stclement.net or call the church office 9:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday at 813-932-6204
